Area of Potential Effects (APE). The APE includes a polygon of approximately 99.93 km² centered at 36.0681°, -111.8673° in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Federal nexus. The APE intersects the following surface management jurisdictions: Grand Canyon N.P (NPS).
National Park Service unit. The APE intersects the following NPS unit(s): Grand Canyon National Park. Coordinate with NPS Cultural Resources directly.
Flood hazard. The APE intersects FEMA flood zone(s) X.
Identified historic properties. The following NRHP-listed or eligible properties lie within or adjacent to the APE:
- Desert View Watchtower Historic District (NRIS 94001503) — 4.51 km from APE centroid.
ADOT historic / scenic route(s). Williams to Grand Canyon to Cameron Highway.
Determination. Based on the foregoing, SHPO concurs with a finding of NO ADVERSE EFFECT pursuant to 36 CFR 800.5.
This determination is non-final until concurrence is received from all consulting parties. Should the scope of the undertaking change, please resubmit for re-review per 36 CFR 800.13.
