The Arizona State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has reviewed your post-wildfire baer submission for the above-referenced undertaking pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and its implementing regulations at 36 CFR Part 800.
Project description. SYNTHETIC demonstration record. Post-wildfire BAER submitted by BLM — Arizona State Office.
Area of Potential Effects (APE). The APE includes a polygon of approximately 104.58 km² centered at 32.2340°, -110.7266° in Mohave County, Arizona.
Federal nexus. The APE intersects the following surface management jurisdictions: Private Land (Private); Coronado N.F (USFS); Saguaro N.M (NPS).
National Park Service unit. The APE intersects the following NPS unit(s): Saguaro National Park. Coordinate with NPS Cultural Resources directly.
Flood hazard. The APE intersects FEMA flood zone(s) X, AE, D (Special Flood Hazard Area).
Identified historic properties. The following NRHP-listed or eligible properties lie within or adjacent to the APE:
- Todd, Charles S., House (NRIS 00001673) — 1.83 km from APE centroid.
- Deep Well Ranch (NRIS 04001072) — 2.75 km from APE centroid.
- Agua Caliente Ranch Rural Historic Landscape (NRIS 04001246) — 5.33 km from APE centroid.

Determination. Based on the foregoing, SHPO concurs with a finding of ADVERSE EFFECT, with stipulations pursuant to 36 CFR 800.5. Stipulations to protect contributing resources during construction shall be incorporated into the project design and monitored by a qualified historic preservation specialist.
This determination is non-final until concurrence is received from all consulting parties. Should the scope of the undertaking change, please resubmit for re-review per 36 CFR 800.13.
